In an effort to improve internal company culture and employee development, Sycon International sought to redefine their daily interaction with employee growth within the company. Before Mission Control, Sycon managers sorted through spreadsheets and employees had little knowledge of where other employees were struggling to improve. With the Mission Control gameboard, Sycon International made their employee improvement process transparent and interactive. Each employee was given a designated ship that could fly around Mission Control as different professional levels, positions, and certifications were met. For the first time, managers and employees could see the company's employee standings in a quick glance and easily target where the company needed to improve.
